Leaf Collections

Fall Leaf Collections for Members

Turn your leaves into fertile compost by participating in our Fall leaf collections program from October 1st through December 31st. We provide you with large, sturdy bags for your leaves and collect the filled bags on your regular collection day.

These compostable 30-gallon paper bags are very durable so you can stuff them full of your leaves and approved yard debris. 

How it works:

Step 1

Order Your Bags For Delivery

We deliver large, 30-gallon paper bags to your home on your regular collection day. Bags only cost $1 per bag, including delivery and collection.

How many bags should I order?

5 bags will hold approximately .25 acres of dense leaf coverage. We require a minimum order of 3 bags.

Step 2

Collect Your Leaves

Fill your leaf bags with all of your Fall leaves and small yard debris.

Please do not include sticks over .5 inches in diameter, diseased plants, or plants that have been treated with RoundUp, other herbicides, or pesticides.

Bags do not need to be closed for collection, so fill them to the brim or mow them first to fit more into the bag.

Step 3

Let Us Know When You're Ready For Collection

Email us at  Info@GreenHeronCompost.org to let us know that you’re ready for our team to collect your leaf bags.

We will confirm the date with you and pick up your bags on your next collection day.
